Translation

If you need translation from another language – please get in touch. We network with experienced translators from many countries.

Copyediting / proofreading, editing, text processing, text consultancy

Other services we offer include: text polishing (especially, but not only, for those writing in English as a foreign language), quality control, proofreading and processing of already translated texts or of texts for publication in their original language (English and/or Norwegian), editorial advice – and much more. Please get in touch for an offer. We can also help with the compilation and formatting of bibliographies, work lists, artist CVs, etc

Prices

For translation we have fixed prices that vary somewhat depending on the languages involved and the type of text. We charge according to the number of characters in the target text, i.e. in the finished translation. You pay for what you get, no more, no less.

The price is calculated on the basis of a page containing 1,500 characters, not including blanks. If you want to know how many characters your text contains: in older versions of MS Word, select Tools and then click on Word Count; in Word, select the Tools tab, then click on Word Count.

Please get in touch for our current rates.

Copyediting and other services

For other services such as copyediting, proofreading, preparation of bibliographies etc. we charge by the hour.

Please contact us for an estimate.

What we need to know is: How big is the text for translation (i.e. how many characters, not including blanks, does it contain)? What language(s) are we talking about? When do you need the translation?

If you know well in advance that you will need a translation at some point in the future, it is advisable to talk to us as soon as possible, even if you do not have the text yet. The sooner we can reserve time in our calendar, the more likely it is we will be able to take the job.
